Scaling Reusable Foodware – Policy Solutions Workshop

Across Canada, there is growing momentum in programs and policies for reusable foodware. Despite this progress, systems remain fragmented, and further alignment is needed to support broader adoption and impact. Scaling reusable foodware is a major policy opportunity—one shaped by different pathways, important trade‑offs, and challenges. Where and how should policy efforts be focused to best reach reuse at scale?

This workshop examines pathways to scale, enabling conditions, and policy approaches in Canada. It is intended for policy-makers, business leads, and not-for-profits supporting reuse systems. This workshop is virtual and by invitation only.

Guest speakers include Macy Zander, Upstream and Claire Ruddy, Whistler Centre for Sustainability.

A short briefing document and links to existing resources will be distributed to registrants.

For more background, please note that the workshop builds upon the business and public policy webinars on Reuse hosted by the National Zero Waste Council in Spring 2026.
